MUNI Metro LRV4
I finished making the instructions for the Lego Muni– and they’re now available
on Rebrickable! Rebrickable makes it easy
to assemble and order the pieces, and best of all, I’m offering the instructions for free 🙂.

Overview of different versions
V3.3
May 11, 2025

V3.2
Apr 21, 2025
- Coupler can now turn enough to connect to LRV4’s and no longer has buffers
- Even sturdier joint connection
V3.1
Mar 22, 2025
- Fixed joint not being able to rotate far enough by reducing the length of the protruding sides
- Fixed battery cable not long enough to connect by moving the battery closer to the hole
- Made the ceiling easier to remove
- Reinforced buffer connection
- Improved surface above body bogeys so they don’t get stuck as often
- Made the joint segments more similar in construction
- Swapped directions of roofs so that the battery is implied to be in front instead of behind. The
train is much less likely to derail when the battery is in the front.
- Reinforced the roof
V3.0
Mar 20, 2025

- 6 studs wide
- ~$200 to build (~$150 w/o motor)
- Solid joint, similar to V1 except 4-stud wide with extra bricks for 6-stud look with smaller length
- Bogey under joint connects to joint axis for simplified construction
- Doors removed for stronger structure
- Shorter than V2 for higher accuracy
- Sturdier buffer, with option for extension
- Sturdier connections of walls to each other and the joint
- Floor connection to bogeys allows for easier rotation
- Accurate gaps around bogeys for easier rotation
V2.3
Mar 20, 2025
- Add handles to the doors to make them easier to open
V2.2

- Modified joint connection to be at the bottom
- Reinforced walls with tiles at the ceiling
V2.0

- Navigable joint with top connection
- Brick-built doors
- Motor under passenger seating with battery in the seating area
- More realistic pantograph (thinner and taller)
- Front simplified for 6 studs based on V1 design
- Rotatable buffer
